How to Play Roulette and Win

Roulette, or the rules as it is sometimes called, is one of the most popular games of chance. For the most part, the rules of the game are pretty much everywhere, but there are nuances as well. You can find the game of roulette in casinos around the world (from Monte Carlo to Las Vegas), as well as in online casinos.

Often featured in James Bond films, roulette oozes glamour, mystery and romance. Some people say that winning the game requires a deal with the devil, because the numbers on the roulette wheel add up to 666 (we actually added them up to verify). It has been played in one form or another since the 17th century. The name itself means “little wheel” in French.

The game is played by players standing or sitting around the roulette table. There is a roulette wheel on the table with the numbers 1 to 36 on it. Roulette wheels also have a zero, and most US casinos have a wheel with two zeros (0 and 00). As the wheel spins, the dealer fires a small ball that spins in the opposite direction. As the wheel slows down, the ball lands in one of the numbered slots. Players can continue to place bets while the ball spins around the wheel until the dealer announces no more bets.

Half of the figures have a red background and the other half have a black background. Traditionally, zero has a green background. Besides the roulette wheel, the rest of the table layout shows the various bets you can place by placing your chips. Fortunes are made and lost here.

Inside betting

Inside betting is one of the most popular and fun betting. The payouts can be high, but the odds are also the lowest. These are bets on various numbers 1 to 36 and zero on the chart. Simply place the chip in the center of the square with the number of your choice. Odds are 35 to 1 if it appears. This is called straight betting. You can bet as much as you want as long as your bet is above the table minimum. Casinos publish minimum amounts for insider bets. For inside bets, the minimum bet is the total bet for the entire table, for example a $5 minimum allows you to bet $1 on 5 different numbers.

Red and black number squares also form lines around them. These lines are called roads. By placing a chip (called a split bet) between two numbers on the street, you win if one of them appears on the spin. It returned 17 to 1.

You can also place your chips on 3 numbers, called a street bet, which pays 11 to 1. Chips are placed at the end of any row of numbers (see table above for details). A bet on the intersection of “0, 1, 2” and “0, 2, 3” is also considered a street bet. You can bet on 4 numbers, called a corner bet, which pays 8 to 1. If you cover 6 numbers, it is called a line bet and pays 5 to 1. This is accomplished by placing chips on two adjacent streets. In addition, in American roulette, there are five numbers to bet, including “0,00,1,2,3”, the odds are 6:1, and the 00th line bet, including 0 and 00, the odds The ratio is 17:1. 1.

Outside bets

These are bets that don’t involve specific numbers. Below are some examples of 1 to 1 even money bets. You can bet that a red or black number will win (color betting). You can bet on whether the number is odd or even (odd/even betting). You can bet that the number will be high (19 to 36) or low, 18 or less (hi-low bet).

You can bet on any of the three columns (column betting). If a number in this column wins, you get paid 2 to 1. The 36 numbers are divided into 3 dozen; they are called the first, second and third dozen. You can place bets on these groups, which is known as a dozen bets. If your chosen dozen has the winning numbers, the odds are 2 to 1. The table above shows these different bets and how to place them.

Unlike inside betting, outside betting table minimums apply to a single bet. If the table has a $5 minimum bet, you must wager at least $5 on each individual bet.

Roulette changes

The rules and wagers we have outlined above apply to standard American Roulette in most US casinos. However, there are many variations. Single zero roulette is the same as American roulette, but as you might guess, there is only one zero. There are double zeros in the United States (including Las Vegas), Canada, South America, and the Caribbean, but single zeros occur primarily in all other countries. Roulette wheels with a single zero significantly reduce the house edge by 50%. So if you find a table with only one zero, it will be very beneficial. You can also find European roulette, double bonus roulette, French roulette, mini roulette, three-wheel roulette, and more, but none of them pay more than single zero roulette.

You’ll also find some large Vegas casinos with triple zero roulette tables. These wheels have an extra 000 slot, or they can use another symbol related to the hotel. You should avoid them for a number of reasons. The payouts are exactly the same as regular double zero roulette, but with each spin you have an extra chance to lose, giving the casino a significant edge. The only benefit might be the lower minimum bet used to entice people to play the game more.

Roulette strategy

The wagers offered should be considered as a tool for your betting strategy at the roulette table. You have to realize that no matter what bet you place, the casino has an edge in their favor. Some people make money by selling instructions on how to win at roulette. Save your money If they actually have something useful, they’ll use it themselves instead of making a few bucks by selling a fake gambling system.

It is possible to win money at roulette. People wouldn’t play the game if there were no winners. Obviously being very lucky is one way to win, but here’s a different approach: You can play at the casino almost instantly, and when you win some money, you’re on your feet and making a profit. If you don’t win, you can’t lose much money because you’re pretty much playing the dealer. You’ll never play perfect, but there are ways to get pretty close.

One way to play almost even at a casino is to stick to the discussed even money bets such as: B. Red or Black, High or Low, Odd or Even. Always remember that the house has a small part in its favor, eg. B. If the ball lands on a zero or a double zero, all bets are lost, unless of course you hit a zero.

There is no guarantee of winning using this method, but you have the best chance. The idea is not to lose too much or too quickly, and to walk away when the tide of the fight is slightly in your favor. Albert Einstein is said to have said that the only way to make money at the roulette table is to steal it!

Some already popular (but not working) roulette systems include: Martingale, where you double your bet until you win or hit the dealer’s limit. The D’Alembert system, when you lose, your bet is increased by one unit, and when you win, your bet is decreased by one unit. This also has a countdown, adding one unit when winning and subtracting one unit when losing. None of this is great because before you know it, you’re betting big just to win a very small win at even odds. Martingale also allows you to hit the casino limit, which prevents you from doubling down again.

Another way to deny death is the Labouchere system. With this, you can write down a series of 7 or 8 numbers. You add the preceding and following numbers and this is your bet amount. If you win, tick the first and last numbers and bet the new first and last numbers. If you lose your first bet, add the lost amount to the end of the series as the new last number. Your next bet is the sum of that number plus the first number. The idea is to cross out all the numbers that show you winning. It’s complicated, tedious, and worst of all, it can quickly wreak havoc on your money.
